Bears are Calling

Grant's great aunt and uncle took him to a very special blue and gold banquet dinner last night, so he could receive his wolf trail badge. The bear leaders were growling and calling the wolves who got their badge inviting them to work on their bear trail badge now. The dinner was done in the Chinese new year theme. They had a cake contest and father and son had to decorate the cake. We made the Chinese symbol that means opposites, a perfect circle symbol, so it was easy enough to bake and decorate. He got an award certificate for his cake. We filmed the event with our new video camera. We would have liked to attend this with Grant, but it didn't work out that way, so we especially thank the Turtons for playing a grandparent role. He had a lot of fun.
